🌆 Parcel 0 launch happened last week!!!! 🚀

This is a huge moment for CityDAO. You now have the opportunity to help shape the future of the DAO as we collectively decide on the next major project.

The real estate guild put on an idea generation campaign last month, did a thorough analysis of all ideas across a variety of criteria, including benefit to citizens, feasibility, economic viability, legal liability, and implementation timeline (among others). Below are the finalists:

🌆 Another CityDAO podcast episode, this time with one of the instigators of Krause House!

“There’s a 14-year-old out in India who is the biggest NBA fan, an incredible analytic savant, understands how to be the world’s greatest GM, and the path for that person to have a voice in any NBA organization right now is incredibly difficult, incredibly low odds, incredibly challenging. And I think one of my dreams is that we build systems, mechanisms, games, processes, in order for that person to have a large share of the voice without putting up $2 billion. Maybe they put up $100 and they earn their way to having a large voice in that organization.”

🌆 Proposal for Citizens to vote on: CityDAO Conversion to partial Quadratic Voting ("QV")

It is proposed that we switch from the current One-Token One-Vote system to a version of Quadratic Voting (also known as "QV" or "Plural Voting").

In the proposed version of QV, the number of votes a Citizen has would be equal to the square root of their Citizen token holdings. For example, a Citizen with 9 tokens has 3 votes; under the current system she has 9. Holdings that do not cleanly root get rounded down – 6 becomes 2 rather than 2.449.

This change is proposed because, in recent Snapshots, there have been many people who hold multiple citizen NFTs having a large impact on voting outcomes. It is acknowledged that this is not a perfect solution – someone could transfer Citizen tokens to another wallet that they control.
